Known gaps

• 15 trading day(s) without a BSE figureThe combined book is NSE-only on 13 Mar 2025, 17 Mar 2025, 18 Mar 2025, 19 Mar 2025, 20 Mar 2025, 24 Mar 2025, 25 Mar 2025, 26 Mar 2025, 27 Mar 2025, 02 Apr 2025, 03 Apr 2025, 15 Jul 2025, 30 Sep 2025, 01 Oct 2025, 03 Oct 2025. BSE published no usable file.
• Archive depth changed on 11 Nov 2025Before it, the daily archive keeps the 500 largest positions; from it, 1,000. Sector figures use a fixed top-500 basis throughout, so the change never reads as a flow.
• Market cap from 01 Feb 2024NSE's daily market-cap file starts then; market-size figures cannot go further back.
• History begins 01 Jan 2021The first archived trading day. Windows reaching before it have no figure.

Corrections log

Every change to how a published figure is computed, with the date it took effect. Figures before a fix were restated when the fix shipped.

• 30 Sep 2026Monday data no longer held back by the weekend. BSE began answering 403 for files that do not exist; weekend dates read as unresolved and held the next trading day's data. Dates NSE shows were not trading days are now resolved.
• 28 Sep 202610- and 30-day movers include new entrants. A stock that entered the book during the window was left out; it now counts from zero, as the 1-day list does (NSE Ltd, listed 24 Sep 2026).
• 27 Sep 2026Trends peak uses exact daily figures. A reconstructed peak sat Rs 8 Cr above the latest book on the same day; the peak now reads the exact daily archive.
• 26 Sep 2026NSE Ltd's symbol corrected to NSE. BSE-only stocks were named from a 16-character company-name stub (NATIONALSTOCKEXC); they now use BSE's own ticker. The old page redirects.
• 25 Sep 2026Market-cap total excludes NSE's summary row. The summary row was counted as a company, doubling the market-wide total. Market-wide ratios now show only on days the total agrees with NSE's published figure.
• 24 Sep 2026Stock-page change windows on exact dates. 30-day, 3-month and 1-year changes had used month-end points; they now use the same exact dates as the Screener.
• 22 Sep 2026One denominator for share of book. Sector shares had been measured against the top-500 sum; every share of book is now of the whole book, with the remainder shown.
• 22 Sep 2026Month-end figures re-derived. Out-of-order backfills had left 9 of 24 month-end points on mid-month days; each month-end is now the last trading day of the month.
• 22 Sep 2026Archive depth restored for 11-21 Sep 2026. The daily archive briefly kept 500 positions instead of 1,000, which read as a false fall of about Rs 20,700 Cr in sector totals. The days were re-fetched.
