India's combined NSE + BSE MTF book rose ₹9,836 crore (6.9%) in August 2026 to a record ₹1,52,507 crore on 31 Aug 2026 — the 6th-largest monthly rise since tracking began, and 55.3% higher than a year earlier. The book grew on 18 of 21 sessions. HDFC Bank added the most, ₹1,342 crore.
