India's combined NSE + BSE MTF book rose ₹3,914 crore (13.1%) in July 2023 to ₹33,774 crore on 31 Jul 2023 — the largest monthly rise since tracking began, and 49.8% higher than a year earlier. It set a record ₹33,923 crore on 28 Jul 2023 before easing. The book grew on 15 of 21 sessions. HDFC Bank added the most, ₹513 crore.
