India's combined NSE + BSE MTF book rose ₹5,998 crore (11.8%) in January 2024 to ₹57,017 crore on 31 Jan 2024 — the largest monthly rise since tracking began, and 96.9% higher than a year earlier. It set a record ₹58,186 crore on 23 Jan 2024 before easing. The book grew on 15 of 22 sessions. HDFC Bank added the most, ₹1,060 crore.
